The Moriko Clan Empty The Moriko Clan

Post by Yen Sat Aug 06, 2011 12:43 pm

    Clan Name: Moriko Clan

    Clan Nick-name: Mori

    ~Kekkei Genkai Template~

    Kekkei Genkai Name:

    Spitting Pine Forest

    Kekkei Genkai Description:

The Moriko Clan Kekkei Genkai gives the user the ability to summon a small pine forest (size may vary depending on the users focus and chakra used) that is generally used to surround the opponents. Once the user feels like the opponent is completely surrounded, and stops the trees from growing, the toxic needles on the trees launch at the enemies from seemingly every direction, making escape or defense difficult.

    Kekkei Genkai Effect:

Once the user has completed the jutsu ability, and the opponent has been hit with one or more of the toxic needles, the toxins immediately begin to attack the nervous system. The strength of the poison may vary, as each user has their own tactics, but the most common effect includes paralysis, burning pain, and severe nerve damage.

    ~Clan Traits~

    Physical Traits:

The Moriko clan has few physical traits that would make a bearer of the Kekkei Genkai obvious, but there are a few tendencies of the clan. Most people from the Moriko clan have green, brown, or blue hair, as well as hazel, blue, or golden eyes. Many are thin and wiry, but there are the occasional thicker people with more blunt tactics.

    Mental Traits:

Because of the difficulty to create enough focus to use the Kekkei Genkai properly, most Moriko clan members with the ability to utilize the jutsu with power are extremely calm and meditate often. There are very few things that can alter or distort their minds, as they must maintain a calm resolve to manage their power properly.

    Clan Customs:

Although the Moriko clan is scattered and fading, there are a few myths and customs the remaining members follow. Several Mori people have heard the myth that they originated from the trees as dryads, and even have come to believe that they are the children of the forest. They know many secrets of the plant life around them, as a few even concoct the special poisons they use to disable their enemies, and tend to be very protective of their habitat. The songs and stories that were once followed have vanished, as the keepers that once protected their history have died, never to be replaced. Many of the remaining Mori members feel that the clan is dying, and will disappear entirely as time leaves their traditions behind.

    ~Clan Information~

    Clan Founder

The true identity of the Clan Founder has been lost to history, but there are several that believed that it was the great mother Itsukiko who discovered the secret of the jutsu, and that it is her bloodline that grants their ability.

    Current Clan Leader

Because there are so few members of the clan left, there is no clan leader. All of the Mori people are rogues scattered about the world, usually remaining close to a forest for safety and solitude.

    Clan History:

The Moriko clan had begun as a simple bloodline of only a few members, and even as the population grew, little attention was payed to the heritage of those with the bloodline. After many of the children who were born with the bloodline realized that their Kekkei Genkai was both mind consuming and hard to control, several stopped becoming ninja due to the disability of the slow Kekkei Genkai. With members quickly dying out or choosing more sedentary lives, the Moriko clan was nearly entirely forgotten about, and it's remaining members became extremely secretive to protect the last of their secrets. Today, they still roam, separated as they no longer hold together like a family. The members that remain are often misunderstood and confusing, as there are few things that resemble their uses of their chakra, and they're not fond of opening up to others.

    Clan Age:

The Moriko Clan's approximate age would date back more than a hundred years, but the exact number is unknown as most records have either been destroyed or lost.

    Clan Enemy:

Although there are no specific enemies for the clan, as the members now choose their own enemies and alliances, there are several who have grudges against industrialists, who deforest to expand their economy.

    Clan Alliances:

The Moriko clan has no specific alliances or enemies, as each member often follows their own path without knowledge of what the others do.

    Clan Symbol:

The Clan Symbol has been known to be altered from member to member, but the base always includes a small silver branch with a water droplet falling off in the shape of a tear. It was believed that the symbol celebrated life, death, sorrow, and joy all at once, as the great mother Itsukiko had lost her son during a battle, and had held his body under a silver tree. The tree could feel Itsukiko's pain, and as the myth goes, cried upon the woman, endowing her with the power to rebuild the forest, and crush those that stole her child away.

    Clan Element:

    Water/Earth

    ~Clan Offensive/Defensive Info~

    Clan Weapon:

Every Moriko member has been known to use the throwing ninja needles as their favorite pick, as they do stunning damage from fair distances. The Mori people often add a special poison to make it more deadly in combat, as they enjoy paralyzing the attacker so they may concentrate. Specific poisons vary from user to user, but the most common toxin viciously attacks the nervous system when it enters the body, causing excruciating pain, nerve damage, and slowing the opponents movement.

    Clan Jutsus:

Cleansing Tears is one of the more difficult jutsus that the Mori people know, just as the Kekkei Genkai requires a lot of concentration, the Cleansing Tears jutsu also requires a decent portion. The user will focus their chakra, gathering the moisture in the air (the strongest users can summon the water if there is none nearby), only to drop it all in an instant upon the enemy. The water's weight tends to crush the enemy, and drag it away as it flows.

Porcupine Plant requires a plant of almost any kind, but for the jutsu it is best to use a small flexible plant for control. The jutsu involves the user manipulating the water inside the plant into sharp spikes, and generally setting an ambush or trap for the incoming enemy. The jutsu kills the plant in use, but requires little chakra from the user due to the simplicity of the technique. Often the damage dealt to the enemy is minuscule, but enough to prove an annoyance so that the user can escape or utilize other jutsu.

The Viscous Blood Jutsu is considered the most violent jutsu of the Moriko Clan, as it involves intoxicating plant or animal life with a deadly virus known only to the Mori people. Once it enters the body of the victim, the body becomes toxic to the touch, and is near impossible to remove, killing within minutes of entry. In many cases, the Viscous Blood Jutsu is used as a last resort, and the Moriko user will infect his or herself in order to have a higher chance of dealing lethal damage to the opponent. Once infected, the user will attempt to bite, scratch, or draw blood in any way from the opponent, as it increases the chance of a deadly infection.

If this is approved, would it be alright if I add the new jutsu to my character bio to stay current? Also, do I have to put the jutsus into applications? Or is it alright if I do it here?
